Welcome to Mas Talaia website. Mas Talaia is a 6- bedroom, 6- bath Self Catering House in Spain. Its position is unique. Located in the beautiful green country side of Catalonia its surroundings are quiet and calm. And yet it is located at less that 15 miles from Costa Brava, Figueres and Girona. It is very close from France (30 minutes by car) and at less than 75 miles from Barcelona and a couple of Ski Resorts.
Its location is so special that in fact during some weeks in autum and during a big part of the spring you can go to ski at the first hour of the morning, come back to lunch at our distinctive villa, then go to the beach on the afternoon and finish the day eating in any of the most renowed restaurants in Europe that are located in the histotical beautifull city of Girona.
Very few places in the Mediterranian hold the charming yet exclusive feeling of this area. Our villa is near famous Vineyards in Catalonia and Wine Tours are organized every weekend. And at the same time, history is present at every corner. The villa was build only 9 years after John Adams became the second president of United States after George Washington. And the region is full of well documented ruins of most diverse cultures Phoenicians, Greek, Roman, etc.

The city of Girona is a great example of the magnificient past of the region. This incredibly well conserved city is a collage of the most diverse cultures that populated this area during time. It's Jewish town is like a jump to an idilic past. No wander so many people from all around Europe and the States keep coming to this area again and again, lots of them yearly.
Figueres City, on the other side, is a great example of the modern times. Art Noveau and the Surrealism of Salvador Dali museum are good examples of how this region moved to vanguardism from the roots of the past.
Finally, the Costa Brava is known all around the globe for its beautifull beaches and its cultural movement. There are musical events and art exhibitions all around the region during almost all the year. And yet, if you want to go shoping or simply having fun, some coast towns are home of hundreds (if not thousands) of musical pubs, restaurants and discos.
And maybe the best part of the offering is the Villa, the "Masia" itself. A masia is a traditional stone house typical of Catalonia used as farms to live a self-sufficient life in the countryside their structure follows the style of Roman-era construction standards.
Our Masia has been tastefully renovated keeping its original charm but offering all the conveniences for modern comfort. The space has been thinked to fullfill expectations of all the family. To the unique mediterranian style we added up everything you'll need to make your vacations unforgetable. From fast Internet connection to a pool table or a beautifully integrated outside swiming pool.
The exclusive "tuscany of spain" villa has everything you need to stay connected (Internet, computer, printer, fax, office suplies, Satelite TV) and to stay disconnected (spacious fully equiped kitchen, a library, a pool, ping pong, badminton, a soccer field, a BBQ, an idilic chimeney,...).
And last but not least. We are here to help. We have self created documentation to help you choose what you want to do outside the villa and take the maximum profit of your time and the house. Being native american speakers language is not going to be a problem. On the contrary, we understand what are you looking for in your dreamed vacation rental in Catalonia.
